Juliette's Birthday Party at Grandmother Kay and Grandfather Ken's House

Today at starting at 5PM began our celebration of Juliette's birthday. She will be one-year old this Tuesday, February 19, 2008. She received several gifts from her grandparents, aunt Maggie, and Amy Simowitz.

We had chocolate ice-cream and carrot cake. Juliette hummed and we sang Happy Birthday. Juliette chased, crawled and walked after Willie the dog.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

This is your first Valentine's Day. Grandfather Ken and Grandmother Kay sent a lovely e-valentine's day card. I bought you two ballons from the supermarket. One ballon says, "Be Mine!"

Juliette will you be my Valentine? You are my forever Valentine!

Juliette Has a Tooth

Yesterday I discovered a tooth pushing up through Juliette's bottom gum. She has been irritable and cranky most days for at least two weeks. Mom siad she felt more teeth poking from the gums today. Juliette has not slept well for weeks and the past several nights have been the worst, she is very uncomfortable. I am rest broken, I have not slept well because she does not sleep well. I left the baby at Mom's house today to rest at home alone. I dropped Juliette off around noon and will pick her up tonight. I just watched a movie starring Heath Ledger who died from an accidental overdose recently. The Ledger movie was sad. I miss Juliette terribly. I saw a small baby shoe on the floor next to my bed, and started to ache for my baby.

It is 4:27 PM now. I will watch one more movie, Elizabeth. Read the Ralph Ellison biography I started a few weeks ago and Chris should be home by the time Elizabeth ends, then and I will take a short nap and then pick-up my dear sweet Juliette.

Juliette Said Thank-You

This blog entry is doomed. Juliette is crying and whining. Nothing new.
Just wanted to record another milestone, Juliette said "Thank-you," on the phone with Grandmother Geraldine.
She is also standing for long periods of time.
She still laughs a great deal, I recorded the laugh on camcorder.
She is very, very pretty.
She is very needy these days.
Still no teeth.
Still not eating solids consistently.
Loves music, Bach...
Loves to sing.
